Effortless Fashion for Men

Today’s world is full of pressure: financial pressure, social pressure, family pressure…Sometimes, it can be hard to fit everything in, and when that happens, unfortunately, there is usually one area of life that suffers, fashion. With little time on our hands, it is hard to find the time to look good, to research all the latest fashions, and to learn those little tricks that enable us to look great with very little effort. If you are one such person, then read on. Here we have listed four important rules regarding men’s clothes. Stick to these rules, and you will ensure that you look great at all times.

Belts & Shoes

If you wear a belt, always make sure that they match the style, colour, and design of the shoes you are wearing with the outfit. The easiest way of doing this is to stick with traditional styles, such as leather and suede, in black or brown.

If you are fond of wearing converse-style trainers, then buy funky material belts with clasp fastenings. This style of shoe enables you to experiment a little with colour and design, but make sure that the belt and the shoes have at least one matching colour, and try to ensure that the matching colour is the most prominent colour of each item.

With standard trainers, you can also wear a material belt, but do not opt for a belt with a pattern that is too progressive: simple is the key here.

Ties & Shirts

Twenty years ago, men’s clothes trends dictated that men match shirts with the same colour tie, in a block colour – so no dual colours or funky designs. Today, we are a lot more liberated and experimentation is a key feature of current dress trends. Having said that, however, it is important to choose a tie that is subtle in style: simple designs, such as stripes or dots are perfect, anything more can appear garish – and, never opt for a novelty tie!

Flat-Fronted Trousers vs. Pleat-Fronted Trousers

For one reason or another, men always seem to prefer wearing pleat-fronted trousers, particularly when they are in their work clothes. Pleated trousers are classic and traditional, but are not the greatest looking style of trousers. Pleated trousers are associated with discipline (because when men are in the army, they are made to iron the creases in perfectly as part of their discipline training) and perhaps this is the reason why office workers frequently sport them. Generally, though, front pleated trousers have a better fit, people assume they are meant for a more athletic figure, but that is not the case.

Incidentally, if you are worried about your figure, then dark trousers are slimming.

Socks

The rule of thumb, regarding socks, is to choose a colour that matches the colour of your trousers. You can add a touch of individuality to your outfit by choosing patterned socks; just make sure that you stick to the right colour.

Shoes

Regardless of the style of footwear you choose to wear, there is one fundamental rule: always wear shoes that in a darker colour than your trousers.

Billabong Wallet In Fashion For Men

fs 02

There are several competitive and well-known brands of wallet for men that continuously gain its reputation by consistently producing first class and high quality wallets. Billabong wallet is considered one of the most renowned brands in fashion for men. It does not only produce competitive products, it also offers its clients affordable and reasonable prices. This brand gains its popularity all over the world and has been able to maintain its reputation until now.

This wallet improves the appearance and features of the traditionally used wallet by men. Since most of the traditional wallet is simply brown and black, Billabong has created plain colored wallets but creates embossed designs to make it stylish. It is also cool to see some of its printed designs since it is actually not common to see a printed leather design for men. They highlighted an active look design to get rid of the old fashion style that has been out in the market for years now. There is also a style where this wallet has clip or handle on the side. This is cool especially for teenagers; most of them do not want to put their wallets in their back pocket and prefer to clip it on the side of their pants.

Gothic Clothing Fashion for Men Women

A clothing style worn by the members of the Goth subculture has become tantamount with Gothic fashion clothing, which stands for a definite style of clothing that prefers stark dark to extravagant colors.

Goth clothing features dark cloths such as dark velvets, dark fishnet, dark lace, dark gloves and dark leather shaded with scarlet. In order to put extra weight to Goth clothing, Goths dye their hair black and darken their lips, eye-lines and finger-nails.

Gothic fashion re-emerged in England during the early 1980s in the Gothic rock scene, which is a derivative of the Post-punk genre. But the original Goth subculture is believed to have flourished between 1200 AD and 1450 AD, when the outfits were more graceful, but simpler in cut than in the Romanesque period. More importance was given to forearms of the sleeves that were tight. Necklines were usually deep, while dresses were typically longer. Minimal trimmings were an important feature of Goth clothing of this period. But, with the passage of time styles kept changing quickly. By the 15th century, fabrics became stiffer. Padded doublets, leg-o-mutton sleeves, crisp pleat, tight belts were also distinguishing characteristics of Goth clothing in 15th century.

Gothic corset fashion has not lost its prominence even in the modern times. Gothic corset is piece of women clothing that shapes the body of a women like an hourglass, which is widely considered as flattering as well as aesthetic. This piece of clothing is an indispensable part of the Victorian and medieval costumes. Currently, the garment is more soft and convenient to wear than what it was in the Victorian and medieval period.

Gothic outfits include light natural fiber shirts with ruffles, short black trousers, dark wide-brimmed hats, accessories with dark umbrellas and silver ornaments. Pirate shirts and pirate boots gives an extra weight to Goth clothing. In the medieval era, pirate boots were used by sea bandits called pirates. These boots were usually strong enough to assist pirates in the adventurous acts during long sea voyages. Pirate shirts are generally loose fit, frilly and have drooping shoulders.

In winter Gothic coats keeps the wearer warm. The best Gothic coat is the one that covers the wearer from the head to the knees. Gothic boots are also very important to the Goth fashion. Gothic boots protect the user’s feet from several dangerous places such as forests, rocks and the like by making the user stable in unstable places. Goth women generally wear boots with heel as high as possible, while men prefer flatted boots. Gothic boots are usually dark in color, but sometimes Goths can be seen wearing bloody-red boots.

Designer Fashion For Men

It is safe to say that the world can be very materialistic at times as everywhere we look we are judged and we judge others on the material goods they possess; no more so than their clothing. In the ‘good old days’ you wore what you were given and as long as you were protected and warm in the winters then nothing else mattered but today it is a completely different story.

Gone are the days where clothes were just clothes, in today’s society they are a symbol of status, style and personality. Those in dark clothes and leathers are often the moody Goths, the smart, suit wearing persona belongs to that of the ‘geek’ whilst the bright and barely-there clothing is for the overly confident and overly flashy. You may not agree but the fact of the matter is that however way we look at it and whatever ‘description’ we wish to attach; each clothing is now a definition of who we are and for that reason designer fashions have become a way of life.

For women, a somewhat obsessive nature and a desire to wear the latest and greatest fashion has become a natural way of life but as time has gone by; that attitude has extended to menswear. Whether your brothers, fathers, uncles or husbands; designer fashion has taken over and society has now reached a critical impasse; those who have a wardrobe full of designer clothing are clearly the most sophisticated, stylish men full of personality whilst those who don’t own a single piece of designer clothing lack pizzazz, flair and any passion for life but is that really the case?

As a lover of fashion and a lover of the beauty and quality that some of the world’s leading designers bring to menswear; I cannot help but fly the flag for designer mens fashions however at the same time I will contradict myself by saying that at times, it is indeed over rated. We have become so obsessed with luxury and status that we have attached them to fashion but should we really go that far? Fashion is fashion; clothing that varies in style, colour and even quality and it is the same with anything, from the furniture we chose to the car we buy but it has become apparent that we are all becoming obsessed with little symbols and names. What does it matter whether your shirt has a little horse or crocodile in the corner, if you are comfortable with the way you feel and look then should that not be all that matters?

Yes, designer fashion can be beautiful and of real, solid quality from Armani jackets to Eton shirts but wearing them shouldn’t be a symbol of status and wearing them should never define your personality. An appreciation of designer clothing is an appreciation of just that; clothing that has been created by the best of the best, which is innovative and of immense quality but that, in no way should mean that those who don’t wear designer fashions are low class citizens!

We all love a bit of quality in our lives and for those who can afford to inject some; the right piece of clothing can become a fantastic addition to the wardrobe but don’t let it get to your head. I can see why many argue that fashion is over rated and if we continue to view designer pieces as we do; the ‘status symbol’ then I don’t see that argument diminishing. However, if we take a step back and simply appreciate designer clothing for what it is then whether you are a man or a woman; you can once again appreciate real quality for what it is worth.

Avoiding Bad Fashion for Men

Fashion is all bad, when it is not good. When is fashion good? When everyone accepts it as good, and they all go running – twittering here and there – about it as the latest rage. That lasts for about ten minutes, then everyone starts to question it and challenge it and divide the fashion into the good parts and the parts that smell like day old cheese that has been left in the sun. The fashion starts as an idea; that is copied by more than one.

When enough people copy it, it becomes a fashion trend. After too many people copy it, it is not longer fashionable. This is why it is all bad fashion. It is only a matter of timing when good fashion turns to bad. Fashion spoils the same as cheese. But some cheeses taste better when they are aged and left on the shelf for many years. These are the same with some fashions, they get better with age. Of course they are still spoiled by too many people liking them, but they transcend to becoming “classic fashion” just like a very ripe 10-year-old aged cheese.

If this seems too cheesy, then consider fine red wine. How is it possible that the older it gets the better it gets? Wine never goes out of fashion, because they can just bury it in a cellar for the next hundred years and when they pull it out once again, it will be a marvel. Some fashion ages like wine, but not all of it. The vast majority is bad fashion, which is only as good as a bunch of bananas that will soon be rotten and need to be replaced. The fashion that lasts is the classic fashion and it is hundreds of years old. Just like the fine wine, the classic black and white tuxedo is even better than the first day it was invented. But this is the minority.

If the majority of fashion is bad fashion, then how does one know whether to invest in fashion or not? The truth is you cannot invest in fashion, you can only get ripped off by fashion, unless you are a pompous designer that puts their name on everything and sells their name as the investment. That is the height of fashion. Take a $5 baseball cap, that you have made in China for 27 cents and put your designer label on it then charge $200 for it and have all the kids in high school trying to find $200 to buy it because it is the fashion.

It is bad fashion, but almost all fashion is bad fashion. Put that same $200 baseball hat on some dilettante head that is famous only for being famous, like the hotel chain girl or the K-girls and then get a photo of them wearing it, get them to sign it, and then you can sell it on eBay for $2,000. That is the height of bad fashion. Still all the guys want to be with these girls. This means that bad fashion is good.

The Rising Urban Fashion For Men

The jewelry world is witnessing it’s largest growth in stainless steel jewelry, specifically for the discerning urban men that want to add a bit of style to their daily routine. Mens jewelry has rapidly become a popular trend in recent years, and there are several reasons behind this. The top 5 reasons for this growth includes strength and durability, masculinity, affordability, and virtually zero maintenance. For these reasons, mens steel bracelets and rings can be worn daily and nearly anywhere. So how is stainless steel establishing itself at the top of the mens jewelry podium?

Daily Usability

Strength and durability in mens jewelry is important if it is to survive years of wear and use. Stainless steel is composed of iron ore (prone to corrosion) combined with chromium (anti-corrosive properties) which combats corrosion or staining, hence the stainless aspect of steel. Carbon in very small amounts (less than 0.5%) are infuse with the metal for increased durability and strength. These materials are, fortunately, much more abundant than silver or gold. We are left with a low cost yet very solid metal to work with.

Stainless steel is not very scratch-resistant when it is polished to a shine, which pertains to most stainless jewelry available. Most surface scratches are not visible from 6 inches or furthur fortunately. Silver polishing cloths will not remove most scratches but will restore the shine of your stainless steel jewelry just fine. There are ways to re-polish your light surface scratches away with very low-cost materials and this can be done at home, a topic which will be discussed in a future article.

Steel Jewelry Production Costs

Stainless Steel bullion costs about the same as copper, which is between 5-10 times less than pure silver, as verified by a nationally recognized bullion distributor – metalmint. This relatively low cost is yet another reason for stainless steels recent adoption in the mens jewelry industry.

Used by blacksmiths for several centuries and extensively used today from our automobiles to aircraft, steel has a certain sense of masculinity embedded within. Industrial applications have kept steel exclusive, until about 5 years ago. Men now have a wide selection of stainless steel bracelets and stainless steel rings available to them. Steel is also finding its way into chain necklaces, making for a long and heavy steel based chain that appeal to men for a much lower cost than before.

The manufacture of stainless steel jewelry is also fairly simple, keeping production costs low. The casting process ensures repeatable results, which gives creative mens jewelry designers the freedom to instill bold, masculine style in a tough and stylish package.

Stylish Appeal and Affordability

Bike chain and skull jewelry styles are popular for this very reason.A motorcycle chain is usually responsible for propelling a wheel. This same bike chain has now been designed as a stainless steel bracelet for men to wear daily, and is the perfect example of stainless steel’s purpose in mens jewelry: Bold style in a tough package. The links in a bike chain bracelet however must be polished and rounded, amongst other modifications, in order to make it practical for daily use.

The latest skull jewelry rage is now finding its way into stainless steel. Heavy and thick chains (widths exceeding 6mm) which typically cost several hundreds of dollars in sterling silver can now be made in stainless steel for a fraction of the price, which gives the consumer a myriad of options. Stylish chains and some familiar classic styles such as Rombo, Cable, Curb, and bike chain designs are now available in a thick and heavy package, for under 100 dollars, rather than several hundreds.

Allergic Reactions to Steel Jewelry

Allergic reactions to stainless steel metals is unfortunately a reality for a very small percentage of the population, as stainless steel MAY consist of nickel, titanium, chromium and other alloys, which can cause skin irritation or skin rashes.Stainless steel jewelry contains nickel, but its combination with the steel makes it highly unlikely to be the culprit for those with nickel allergy.Still, those with nickel allergies may want to exercise caution with steel jewelry. Check with your doctor to find out what affects you.

There are universal appeals to Stainless Steel Jewelry, and it’s recent fame will grow as the trends adopt more designs and styles in stainless steel. Low production costs and daily usability will substantially contribute to the rapid growth of stainless steel products available in the next few years. Hypoallergenic gold and silver will remain as the ideal metals for those with strong nickel allergies, but for all other purposes stainless steel jewelry can be substituted at a substantial cost saving for both manufacturers and consumers!
